John Healey said British troops could be deployed immediately to Ukraine following a ceasefire agreed at the meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska. Although analysts expect little more than an air ceasefire, Healey emphasized that an international coalition is ready to support Ukraine from day one of the armistice. He noted that in the event of a Russian attack, British troops will have the right to defend themselves. Healey emphasized the importance of Ukraine's strength as a deterrent against Russian aggression.
