Technology Secretary Peter Kyle has announced the UK government's intention to limit the amount of time children spend on social media, given the negative impact of excessive use of these platforms. A limit of two hours a day and blocking access at night are being considered. A survey showed that 40% of children spend at least six hours a day online and most have been exposed to inappropriate content. Kyle emphasizes the need to protect children and support parents in managing time spent online.
