Turkey is intensifying its oversight of the digital environment through an extensive investigation into platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and Discord.

The Personal Data Protection Authority is investigating how these platforms manage minors' information, aiming to protect children from potential risks in the digital environment. Additionally, a legislative package is being prepared that could impose age restrictions and limitations on the use of social networks during the night. The proposals include age verification mechanisms and content filtering, and a parliamentary report suggests bans for users under a certain age.

These measures align with global trends to strengthen regulations for online protection of children.
