According to a barometer conducted by Toluna/Harris Interactive, the approval rating of French President Emmanuel Macron reached 25% in December, the lowest level since he took office in 2017. Only 37% of French people plan to follow the presidential New Year’s wishes, a significant decrease compared to previous years. Jean-Daniel Lévy, deputy director of Toluna/Harris, emphasizes that the French now judge the president more based on national issues. Additionally, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu maintained a confidence rating of 34%, but most ministers recorded a decline. In contrast, far-right leader Jordan Bardella ranks first in the confidence barometer with 42%, followed by Marine Le Pen with 39%. The survey was conducted online on a sample of 1,099 people, with a margin of error between 1.4 and 3.1 percentage points.
