The meeting at the Marine Corps University in Quantico will include discussions about the warrior ethos, a preferred topic of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. This comes after significant changes at the Pentagon, including dismissals and attacks in Venezuela. Speculations suggest that the meeting could address political themes, despite the military's apolitical status. Trump emphasized the importance of unity and camaraderie, wanting to encourage generals to remain strong and compassionate. He also signed an executive order renaming the Department of Defense to "Department of War."
