Trump's visit to Israel coincides with the release of hostages by Hamas, as part of a peace agreement. At the Knesset, Trump will meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu and will discuss with the families of the hostages before delivering a speech in the plenary. This is the fourth visit of a U.S. president to the Knesset, following those of Carter, Clinton, and Bush. Preparations for Trump's reception include decorating the building with flags and a special logo. A Likud member announced that he would not attend the speech, criticizing the peace agreement.
