American President Donald Trump announced a new extension of the deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to destroy the country's energy centers if an agreement is not reached.
In a statement on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump mentioned that the deadline has been extended by 10 days, until April 6, 2026, at 8:00 PM (00:00 GMT, April 7). This threat comes following an escalation of military actions by the US and Israel, including attacks on high-ranking Iranian officials. Iran has rejected Trump's claims, continuing reprisals in the Middle East. Trump also criticized NATO allies and stated that the war triggered last month has already been won.
