Donald Trump declared that Vladimir Putin wants to end the war in Ukraine, following a recent meeting in Moscow with his envoy, Steve Witkoff. Washington has been trying for two weeks to adopt a plan to end the conflict, but negotiations are complicated by the advances of the Russian army and the losses suffered. A meeting between Ukrainian negotiator Rustem Umerov and Witkoff is scheduled in Florida, in the context of several NATO countries announcing arms purchases for Ukraine. Although Moscow claimed the conquest of the city of Pokrovsk, the information is contradictory. While negotiations continue, Ukrainian President Zelensky emphasized the need to exert pressure on Russia. Putin threatened Europe, accusing it of hindering peace efforts, which sparked reactions from British officials.
