Donald Trump stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin honored the commitment to temporarily suspend attacks on Ukrainian cities, despite a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv that occurred immediately after this period.

Trump explained that the suspension lasted a week, having been agreed upon in the context of the extremely cold weather in Ukraine. Although he acknowledged that he would have liked Russia to continue this pause, he emphasized that Putin respected the terms of the agreement.
