In an interview, Trump said in the next two weeks it will be known whether a peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict can be reached. He praised President Zelenski for his visit to the White House, emphasizing the urgency of finding a diplomatic solution. At the same time, Putin presented new conditions for ending the war, calling for the Donbas region to be ceded and neutrality for Ukraine, while showing readiness to halt the advance into other territories.
