Donald Trump has said plans to occupy the Gaza Strip will depend largely on Israel's decisions. At an event at the White House, he emphasized the importance of feeding the people of Gaza, announcing a recent donation of $60 million from the US to help provide food. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu faces challenges in the continuing fighting amid a death toll of more than 61,000 Palestinians killed in the conflict and concerns over the fate of Israeli hostages.
