Donald Trump declared that the agreement with South Korea has been finalized, aiming for investments of 350 billion dollars in the United States. Initially announced in July, the agreement stipulates that the South Korean government will invest 200 billion dollars in cash, paid in installments of 20 billion, and 150 billion dollars in the American shipbuilding industry, to avoid high tariffs on imports.
Additionally, Trump is set to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Busan, where he hopes that discussions will lead to a reduction in tariffs on Chinese goods, in exchange for a promise from China to limit exports of chemicals used in fentanyl production.
