The American president Donald Trump declared on his platform Truth Social that he has decided to cancel a second wave of planned attacks against Venezuela, after the authorities in Caracas released a large number of political prisoners. Trump considered this gesture a sign of 'seeking peace' and emphasized the recent cooperation between the United States and Venezuela, especially in the reconstruction of the oil industry. Although the attacks were canceled, Trump mentioned that American naval forces will remain in the area for security reasons. Additionally, he announced the intention to attract massive investments from American oil companies, estimating that at least 100 billion dollars will be invested.
