Donald Trump, the President of the United States, made a call on Tuesday to Iranian leaders to release eight women who are in danger of execution, stating that this would represent a 'very good start to the negotiations' that are set to resume between Washington and Tehran.

In a post on his Truth Social network, Trump emphasized the importance of this gesture, urging Iranian leaders not to harm them. His message was inspired by a post from activist Eyal Yakoby, who shared photos of the women and alerted about the Islamic Republic of Iran's intention to execute them. Human rights organizations have already identified one woman, Bita Hemmati, sentenced to death following the protests in January. This situation has generated international reactions and amplified pressure on Iran in the context of negotiations with the United States. Eyal Yakoby, who promotes pro-American content and critiques pro-Palestinian movements, has been active in disseminating information about these women.
