Owens' criticisms of Trump, in which she called him a 'genocidal maniac,' came after he threatened to 'destroy Iranian civilization.'

Trump accused his critics of having a 'low IQ' and wanting cheap publicity, emphasizing that they are no longer relevant in the media. The dispute reflects divisions within the Republican camp, with 22% of voters who supported Trump in 2024 opposing the war in Iran, while 71% support him. This tension suggests a fracture among his supporters amid an increasingly intense electoral campaign.
