Donald Trump has announced a possible visit to China, saying he has been invited by President Xi Jinping. The visit would address trade and security tensions between the two superpowers. Although not yet officially set, talks suggest a Trump stop in Asia during the APEC summit. In addition, Trump discussed China's influence in the region with the Philippine president, reaffirming the close ties between the US and the Philippines. Tensions with China include the trade war and issues over Taiwan and illegal trade.
