President Donald Trump declared on Saturday that he will analyze a 14-point plan sent by Iran for resolving the conflict in the Middle East, but he expressed doubts about its acceptability for Washington.


The plan, sent through Pakistan, includes requests such as the withdrawal of American forces near Iran, lifting the blockade of Iranian ports, payment of compensation, and lifting sanctions. Iran also requests a mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz and the end of the war in Lebanon.


Trump mentioned that he is not satisfied with the proposal, emphasizing that Iran has not paid enough for its actions over the past decades:


“I will soon analyze a plan that Iran just sent us, but I cannot imagine that it would be acceptable, as they have not yet paid a sufficient price for what they have done to humanity and the world in the last 47 years”


While the threats of conflict remain, Iranian officials have reacted, stating that the resumption of conflict is likely, given that the U.S. does not respect previous agreements.
