The Moldovan authorities are considering a reintegration plan for the Transnistrian region, but its implementation requires considerable financial resources.

The implementation of the plan to reintegrate the Transnistrian region would require significant financial resources, with the peacekeeping mission having to be replaced by a civilian one under UN or EU auspices. The high costs would also entail the support of external partners. The plan envisages changing the Russian-led peacekeeping mission to a civilian one, but the Chisinau authorities emphasize that reintegration will be achieved exclusively through diplomatic dialogue.
