A serious train accident occurred on Tuesday morning in Noeux-les-Mines, France, where a TGV traveling on the Dunkerque-Paris route collided with the trailer of a military truck. As a result of the impact, the train driver died, and the preliminary toll indicates at least 27 injured, among whom the truck driver is in serious condition. The train, which was carrying approximately 250 passengers, derailed due to the collision.
Authorities responded quickly, providing buses for the evacuation of passengers, while rail traffic on the Béthune-Arras line was interrupted in both directions. The Minister of Transport, Philippe Tabarot, announced that he would go to the scene, accompanied by the president of SNCF, Jean Castex, to assess the situation.
