A serious maritime accident occurred in the waters between the islands of Solta and Brac in Croatia, when a passenger catamaran, operated by a private Croatian company, collided with a sailing boat under a French flag, which sank.
The Croatian Ministry of the Sea and Transport confirmed that at the time of the incident, there were 118 passengers and seven crew members on board the catamaran. Unfortunately, eight people were on board the sailing boat, of which three died, one person is missing, and the other four passengers were rescued. So far, the nationality of the victims and the exact circumstances of the accident have not been specified, but unofficial sources suggest that the victims may be of Czech nationality.
The authorities continue investigations to clarify the details of this tragic incident.
