Two people died in a helicopter accident in Italy, after the aircraft hit the cables of a cable car.

A terrible accident occurred in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, when a gyrocopter, an aircraft similar to a helicopter, crashed after hitting the cables of a cable car.

The helicopter, which was not authorized to fly in the area, was piloted by a businessman who was traveling with a relative.

The pilot attempted to perform a maneuver to turn around, but snagged the cable car's cables, causing an explosion in flight.

The aircraft crashed near Lake Campliccioli, in a grassy area. Emergency services, including firefighters and law enforcement, quickly responded to the scene, but unfortunately, none of the victims could be saved. An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently underway.
