The incident occurred after the police observed the vehicle driving recklessly on a highway, and an attempt to stop it failed. The driver lost control and hit more than 12 people in front of the bar.

Three victims died on the spot, and the fourth died at the hospital. The victims are all adults, and the condition of five of them is variable. The suspect, Silas Sampson, 22 years old, has been arrested and is facing four charges of vehicular homicide and aggravated fleeing.
