A small tourist plane, on board of which were Russian influencer Pavel Koșkin and a passenger, was shot down by air defense near Moscow, being mistaken for a Ukrainian drone. The incident occurred on Saturday, and the wreckage of the plane was found near Kolomna, about 60 kilometers southeast of the capital. Witnesses described a violent explosion followed by a 'cloud of blue smoke.' The plane crashed near an Iskander missile factory, which could explain the rapid reaction of the defense systems. According to preliminary information, the Alto NG type plane was shot down by a Tor type surface-to-air system. Russian authorities have not provided official details, but the aviation community has reacted, suggesting that the incident could be the result of human error, with air defense operators acting under pressure and without proper checks.
