The European Commission announced that TikTok has presented binding commitments to address concerns raised during an investigation. These measures aim to ensure transparency in advertising, including providing the full content of advertisements and quickly updating information.

TikTok will also provide the targeting criteria used by advertisers and aggregated user data, facilitating research on how advertisements are delivered. The company will introduce search options and filters to help users find ads more easily. The Commission will monitor compliance with these commitments, which must be implemented within up to 12 months, according to the Digital Services Regulation.
