The war in Ukraine has evolved into a technological competition, with the widespread use of ground robots, known as UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles). According to The Guardian, the number of these drones has increased exponentially since 2024, with the Ukrainian armed forces carrying out a record 7,000 missions in January. These vehicles are used both in combat actions and for transporting supplies and the wounded. Pavlov, a Ukrainian lieutenant, stated that modern warfare requires the robotization of the army, and Ukraine's expertise in drones is now sought after internationally. President Zelensky has signed defense agreements with Saudi Arabia for the delivery of interceptor drones. Ground robots, such as 'DevDroid TW 12.7', have demonstrated effectiveness in maintaining defensive positions and executing combat missions, having the capacity to transport up to three wounded. In contrast, the Russian army also uses ground vehicles, such as 'Courier', which can carry 250 kilograms and is used in electronic warfare. This transformation of the battlefield underscores the impact of technology on modern conflicts.
