Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar emphasized the ambition of the Visegrad Group to give a "strong voice" to the countries of Central Europe, during a press conference held near Budapest.

The informal alliance, which includes Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, has suffered a loss of influence due to internal tensions, but Magyar announced the resumption of regular consultations ahead of European Union summits.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico emphasized that he does not want to be "merely the object of decisions made by allies, especially by the European Council and other European institutions."

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also supported the need for a united voice to influence decisions at the European level.
