The Vatican Bank, officially known as the Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR), has announced a collaboration with the American firm Morningstar to launch two stock indices: Morningstar IOR Eurozone Catholic Principles and Morningstar IOR US Catholic Principles.

These indices are designed to serve as a reference for Catholic investments globally, including 50 mid and large-cap companies, among which are ASML Holding, Deutsche Telekom, and SAP. This initiative comes in the context of increasing interest in socially responsible investments, and the Vatican Bank, established in 1942, aims to improve its reputation affected by corruption scandals.
