The United States has designated the antifascist movements in Germany, Italy, and Greece as 'terrorist organizations' as part of an offensive against 'antifa'.

The Trump administration has signed a decree classifying the 'antifa' movement as a 'terrorist organization', particularly targeting groups from Germany, Italy, and Greece. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that 'Antifa Ost' from Germany and other anarchist groups will be considered foreign terrorist organizations starting November 20.


These groups are accused of violent attacks against those perceived as 'fascists' and adhering to anarchist or Marxist ideologies. The classification will prohibit members from accessing the U.S. and will block their assets. The 'antifa' movement, associated with the far left, gained notoriety in the U.S. after Trump's election in 2016, and the city of Portland has become a symbol of the conflict.
