The USA launched "powerful" strikes against Iran, after a break of a few days.

The U.S. Central Command (Centcom) announced that new strikes have been carried out against Iran in response to recent attacks on American bases in Jordan and on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Several explosions were heard in multiple areas of southern Iran, according to reports from the Iranian state media Press TV. These hostilities come as a reaction to Iran's attempt to attack American forces stationed in the Middle East.

Before these attacks, American President Donald Trump promised on Wednesday that he would strike the country "very hard".

Iran, through the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, claimed responsibility for attacks on an American base and oil tankers, carried out during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, asserting that it acted in response to American aggression.
