The United States Army has emphasized the need for developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) systems to manage the immense volume of information generated on the modern battlefield, which exceeds human analytical capacity.

Following the 'Dynamic Front' exercise, Colonel Jeff Pickler highlighted that, although the army has invested in sensors and connected systems, the result is an avalanche of data that analysts cannot process quickly. Military AI, tested during the exercise, can capture and organize information from multiple sources, maintaining context and correlating data to identify trends and potential threats. In the event of a major conflict, the army estimates that it may be necessary to analyze over 1,500 incidents per day, a volume that cannot be managed without automation. The AI system, currently in the testing phase, could achieve a 90-95% agreement with human assessments. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into military operations, aiming to improve efficiency in various areas, including logistics and recruitment, while still keeping tactical and strategic decisions under the responsibility of human personnel.
