John Healey, the British Secretary of State for Defence, announced the United Kingdom's commitment to contribute £150 million (approximately $205 million) to the PURL (Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism. This mechanism was created to ensure the constant delivery of American weapons to Ukraine, especially in the context of the blockage of military assistance from the USA.

Healey emphasized the importance of providing air defense to Ukraine, considering the attacks from Putin.

PURL allows allied countries to acquire essential equipment for Kiev, and so far, allies have mobilized military support worth $4.5 billion through this program, according to the US ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker.
