The Ukrainians announce that they have managed to recapture the Kinburn Peninsula, located in the north of the Black Sea, and presented as evidence a video with the Ukrainian flag mounted on a building destroyed by bombings.

According to sources, Ukrainian forces have heavily bombarded the area, which led to the withdrawal of the Russians. Although Russian military officials acknowledge logistical difficulties in the region, they deny that they have retreated. Ukrainians insist that evacuations are taking place across the entire occupied territory. The building where the Ukrainian flag is located is situated close to the water's edge and is surrounded by destruction caused by bombings.

The Kinburn Peninsula has strategic importance, playing a crucial role in controlling navigation in the Black Sea.
