Mohamed Elmaouloud Ramadane, spokesperson for the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA), stated that Russia must completely withdraw from Mali, emphasizing that the rebels' objective is to control the regions in the northern part of the country. Ramadane asserted that the junta in Mali will fall in the face of the combined offensive of the jihadists and Tuareg rebels, who have launched coordinated attacks in several cities, including Kidal, Gao, and Bamako. In this context, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recommended that French citizens leave Mali as soon as possible due to the increasing instability.
The jihadists have announced the imposition of a blockade at the entrances to Bamako, prohibiting access to any person or vehicle that is not already in the capital. Following recent attacks, the death toll has risen, and the head of the junta, Assimi Goïta, has reappeared in public to visit the wounded. Mali is facing an extremely volatile security situation, and the country's economy is affected by the blockades imposed by the jihadists.
