The Spanish police announced on Monday the dismantling of a cell of the neo-Nazi group 'The Base', considered a terrorist organization by the EU and other countries. This movement, founded in the USA, operates through an international network of paramilitary cells with the aim of committing attacks and preparing for a 'racial war'. A recent investigation led to the discovery of a cell in Spain, where members, heavily radicalized, trained with paramilitary techniques.
Three people have been arrested, including the leader of the cell, accused of belonging to a terrorist organization and illegal possession of weapons. The police confiscated firearms, ammunition, and neo-Nazi propaganda materials. The group 'The Base' was founded in 2018 by Rinaldo Nazzaro, who promoted training for armed conflict. Last year, the EU included the group on the list of terrorist organizations, imposing sanctions on its members.
