The south and central regions of the country have been affected by continuous precipitation since the end of October, causing severe flooding that has submerged tourist destinations and historical sites. Dak Lak province has been the hardest hit, with over 20 reported victims.

Rescue teams continue to assist residents trapped in trees and on rooftops. Although water levels have decreased, many highways remain impassable, and approximately 300,000 people are without electricity. Between January and October, natural disasters have led to 279 deaths or missing persons and damages exceeding 2 billion dollars. Scientists emphasize that global warming contributes to the frequency and severity of these extreme weather phenomena.
