A new prosperity index, which analyzes income, GDP, and how wealth translates into quality of life, social cohesion, and long-term development, does not place the USA, Germany, or France in the top ten, writes Euronews.

The group argues that GDP per capita alone can distort comparisons, as it assumes that national production is distributed equally among the population.
