Spain: The Popular Party (PP) won the regional elections in Extremadura, obtaining 43% of the votes and securing 29 seats in the regional parliament, a significant increase from the previous legislature.

This victory comes in the context of the PSOE socialists' decline, who lost 14 points and 10 seats, reaching only 18 seats, following corruption scandals that have affected the party. The PP will again depend on the far-right formation Vox, which has increased from 5 to 11 seats.

The elections were marked by corruption scandals, including the case of former minister José Luis Abalos, arrested for bribery, and accusations targeting the wife and brother of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Criticism of the PSOE has intensified, especially regarding the handling of sexual harassment cases.
