In Germany, the leaders of the Green Party have called on Chancellor Friedrich Merz's government to initiate a national investigation into any potential German connections to the Epstein case. This request comes in the context where other European countries, such as Poland, have begun similar inquiries. The opposition emphasizes that Germany must adopt a clear position to ensure transparency and public trust. Green representatives Irene Mihalic and Konstantin von Notz stated that the German government has remained indifferent to these issues, while other countries are taking action.

The German Ministry of the Interior has confirmed that it is reviewing investigations related to Epstein, but has not announced a special inquiry. Green leaders believe that an official investigation would help limit the spread of conspiracy theories, which have increased on social media platforms following the release of recent documents. Although there is no direct evidence of connections between German officials and Epstein, Deutsche Bank had a business relationship with him, later acknowledging past mistakes. The Greens' request will be discussed in the Bundestag, aiming to clarify Germany's involvement in this scandal.
