On the first day of operation, the new speed detection system in Bulgaria identified over 1,500 drivers who exceeded the legal limit.

The new speed detection system in Bulgaria has started to operate and reported alarming results in the first 12 hours, with over 1,500 offenders identified. Extremely high speeds were recorded, including 222 km/h on highways. The system covers 11 of the 12 preselected sections, each approximately 10 kilometers long, and offenders will receive electronic fines.
