The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has issued a travel warning for those visiting the Madeira archipelago, which will be under a Red Code from Friday, 8:00 AM, until Sunday, 12:00 PM. Winds will reach speeds of up to 90 km/h in low areas and 110-130 km/h in mountainous areas, and waves may reach between 4 and 14 meters. Heavy precipitation, hail, and electrical discharges are expected, affecting visibility and transport conditions. MAE recommends that Romanian citizens follow information from local authorities and adhere to their instructions. In case of emergency, citizens can contact the Romanian Embassy in Lisbon or the emergency number of the diplomatic mission.
