The Louvre Museum reopened its doors on Wednesday morning, after a spectacular robbery that took place on Sunday, in which four thieves stole jewelry worth 88 million euros. Although the museum welcomed visitors, the Apollo Gallery, the site of the theft, remains closed. Initially, the museum was supposed to partially reopen on Monday, but it was closed all day. The museum's director, Laurence des Cars, will provide explanations before the Senate Culture Committee. The robbery occurred quickly, with the thieves using a lift to reach the museum's upper floor, where they broke a window and stole nine pieces of jewelry. During the escape, security agents intervened, recovering important evidence and forcing the thieves to abandon the crown of Empress Eugénie. The investigation continues, and the items left behind by the thieves are now being analyzed by the authorities.
