Robert Abela, the leader of the Labour Party, stated that his victory is a success of the entire people, emphasizing that his party has obtained a strong mandate. The results show that the Labour Party has won a comfortable parliamentary majority, although with a lower percentage compared to 2022, when it obtained 55% of the votes.

Charles Bonello, the secretary general of the Nationalist Party, acknowledged the result, mentioning that his party has managed to reduce the Labour majority. The elections, held on Saturday, had a voter turnout of 87.4%, slightly higher than in 2022. The Labour Party promoted a campaign based on a strong economy and the credibility of the government, while the Nationalist Party highlighted a deterioration in the quality of life. Robert Abela will be sworn into office on Monday morning.
