The Kremlin announced that the United States has not responded to Russia's offer to contribute one billion dollars from frozen assets in the U.S. to obtain a permanent seat on the Peace Council initiated by Donald Trump.
The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, stated that President Vladimir Putin's offer would guarantee permanent membership status and that the funds would be used for post-war reconstruction in conflict-affected areas. Peskov emphasized that official discussions on this matter continue at the level of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in collaboration with Russia's allies. Putin also stated that Russia is willing to make this contribution even before clarifying the details about the functioning of the Council.
