The Kremlin has stated that it is actively preparing for President Vladimir Putin's visit to India, scheduled for December. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the visit will be significant, but he avoided providing details about the agenda of discussions or any agreements that might be reached. This visit will take place almost two years after Putin's last meeting in India, which occurred at the end of 2021, a few months before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. It is also important to note that India is one of the largest buyers of Russian oil, despite pressure from the United States to reduce these purchases.
