The Kremlin has denied reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin might meet with American rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, during the artist's visit to Russia.
The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, stated that organizing West's concerts is not a concern for the presidential administration, emphasizing that they are not a concert organizing agency.
West is scheduled to perform two shows in St. Petersburg on October 10 and 11, and the announcement has generated increased interest among Russian fans.
Russian activist Vitali Borodin announced that he will request the cancellation of the concerts, criticizing West for his antisemitic statements and controversial behavior.
West also visited Russia in 2024, but did not hold a planned concert.
