The Czech Republic is leading the initiative to impose strict rules for Russian diplomats, requiring them to notify member states before crossing borders. This measure comes in response to the increase in hybrid attacks, including fires and cyberattacks, suspected to be coordinated by Russian agents. By June 2024, several European countries have joined the Czech call, and the Czech Republic has already begun restricting access for Russian diplomats. Negotiations for the approval of the new measures are scheduled for October 8.
