The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated that Ukraine will benefit from 2 billion euros for the purchase of military drones, emphasizing the importance of expanding Ukrainian capabilities. Although she did not specify the source of the funds, she mentioned a previous proposal to use Russia's frozen assets for repair loans. Additionally, President Zelensky called on Europeans and Canadians to contribute 1 billion euros monthly for weapons intended for Ukraine, as part of the NATO-coordinated PURL initiative.
