The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, stated that the countries of the European Union must align with the expectations from Russia before engaging in discussions with President Vladimir Putin. Kallas emphasized that not only Ukraine must make concessions, but also Russia, which, in her opinion, shows no signs of wanting peace.
In the coming days, she will present member states with a list of demands that should be met by Moscow to facilitate peace negotiations. Kallas mentioned that the EU must demand significant concessions from Russia, including the repatriation of abducted Ukrainian children and the reduction of the Russian army's personnel. She also emphasized that for a lasting peace, it is essential for all parties involved, including the USA, to recognize the necessity of the European agreement. Kallas concluded that Russia is not winning the war and that its losses continue to grow.
