The office of the Dalai Lama has stated that the exiled Buddhist spiritual leader has never met Jeffrey Epstein, after Chinese media made connections between the two.

The name Dalai Lama appears 154 times in the Epstein files, but there is no evidence of a meeting between them. China Global Television Network reported that the Dalai Lama is mentioned at least 169 times in these files. His office confirmed that it did not authorize any meeting with Epstein and emphasized that the mere mention of a name does not imply illegal actions.
