A court in Russia has classified the activist group Pussy Riot as an extremist organization, which means that using its name or distributing it on social media can be considered a crime, with penalties of up to five years in prison. Maria Aliohina, a member of the group, described the impact of this decision, emphasizing that even simple gestures, such as changing a hat, can be considered acts of extremism. Aliohina recounted her traumatic experiences in detention and highlighted the difficulties of life in exile, having lived without a home for three years and a half. She also spoke about the loss of her father, who died after a raid related to the group's activities. Aliohina emphasized that in Russia, extremism has been redefined to include any form of opposition, and Pussy Riot continues to express itself against Putin's regime, organizing concerts in support of Ukraine and warning about the current conflict that is not just local, but a hybrid war that can affect the whole world.
